The Bird and Its nest

The Bird and Its nest
by ArRayyan Mawallil Tulawie

Occasionally, when I look outside my window, I always see this lovely bird resting on the balcony and she would just fly around intermittently.

One fine day, I was mesmerized when I noticed dried petioles and lawns which she singly pecked from the soil and patiently carried it to the fourth floor of our building.

Amazingly, I found out that she used it to build her nest to lay and incubate her eggs and to raise her youngs.

Sadly, one day, her unfinished nest was ruined by the gusty winds.

Nevertheless, she was unstoppable.

Out of mother’s ultimate love and mercy for her new offsprings, she courageously and tirelessly built a new one.

Alhmadu Lillaah, after all her great struggles and sacrifices, she successfully got her new comfortable nest where she can conveniently lay and incubate her eggs to raise her youngs.

Subhaana Allaah, this bird teaches me a valuable lesson.

Truly, in life, no matter the circumstances that you may go through, just push through it.

“Man Jadda Wa Jada” which mean whoever strives shall succeed.

A writer once said, “Never stop trying. Never stop believing. Never give up. Your day will come.”

So, I must always be impervious to every trials of this life especially in this temporary world because I have always الله to trust, Who promises twice that after hardship comes relief.

THE UNFORGETTABLE YOUTH CAMP

THE UNFORGETTABLE YOUTH CAMP By MSA-UZ Member The youth camp is one of the most effective methods for the Islamic training of young potential leaders. Thus, as an official youth organization in our most beloved academe, we wish to contribute more to the welfare of the university in pursuit for peace and development even just in our humble capacity despite the hectic schedule as college students. We apprehended that in order to gain the aforementioned matters, we must first discipline ourselves along with our co-MSA-UZ fellows in an Islamic arena. Consequently, after a long patient and persistent preparation on the proposed plan for the mini Youth Camp, finally, the MSA-UZ held its 1st time ever youth camp with the THEME of “ISLAMIC BROTHERHOOD: HOW TO ATTAIN IT” at Puerto Villa Beach Resort, Patalon, Zamboanga City last April 10-11, 2009. The activity was peacefully opened by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by the former MSA-UZ President Alhusin Muhammad. It continu...

Mohammad S. Tulawie, fondly called “Mastal Mohammad,”  dedicated his lifetime to his  Bangsa, Hulah, Agama. The Mohammad Tulawie Central Elementary School in Jolo, Sulu. Photo from its FB page According to the many narratives of our elders, “Mastal Mohammad” was resolute in his sworn commitment to educate his fellow-Tausugs during his time. Tausug parents then were apprehensive to send their kids to school because they thought once they will be educated, they would be converted to Christianity. However, Mastal Mohammad S. Tulawie, in his clairvoyant v...
