My Blog's Brief History

I couldn’t remember the specific date, but certainly, it was September 2009 when I went to the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City to attend a focus group meeting related to the Hijaab-Niqaab issue with Kah Choy (Dr. Nur Danial) and Kah Warina Sushil Jukuy. On the sideline of our meeting, Kah Choy introduces to me the idea of creating my own blog for my writing in which I elatedly accepted it.

Candidly, I was so exhilarated to have my own personal blog because somehow since I had an ardent passion for writing, thus, whenever I want to write randomly about anything that comes across my mind, I now have the platform to feature and preserve some of my humble pieces.

Noteworthy to remember that it was Kah Choy, who personally made the blog for me. Then, Kah Warina, my patient, and immensely knowledgeable writing mentor named it for me as NEOCATALYST because it is a blog of a very young neo catalyst for change. Since then, every time I have a new piece, I publish it on my own blog.

Alhamdu Lillaahi, this month of September 2020, marks 11 years since my own blog has been created. Although, I am not that expert in writing, however, deep within my heart, the passion is there. I always wanted to further develop my little skills in writing.

Thanks to Kah Warina for being so patient, and helping me gradually improve somehow. A teacher like her is hard to find, and I’m always grateful for everything she has taught me.

MONA, one of the greatest women, succumbs to COVID-19 By Gamson Jr Mawallil Quijano Families, loved ones, students, and colleagues both local and abroad of Ustaza Taiba "Mona" Sakaluran Aiyub, one of the renowned Tausug-Banguingui Islamic teachers in Zamboanga City, are flabbergasted and saddened by her unexpected demise on May 19, 2021.
