MY KOKKOK’s UNFORGETTABLE STORY

MY KOKKOK’s UNFORGETTABLE STORY
27 June 2020, Saturday
By Gamson Jr Mawallil Quijano, Uthman’s maternal uncle

Uthman Quijano Radjilul

Yesterday, Friday, June 26, 2020, my eldest brother called me via FB messenger around 4:46pm Qatar time informing me that my nephew Uthman had a convulsion due to high fever.

Thus, everyone at home was panicking except for my brother who is an EMT and he managed to rush my nephew to the hospital nearby.

Alhamdu Lillaahi, because our house is just adjacent to the ZamPenHosp, he just carried our nephew in his arms as he swiftly rushed to the hospital while Inah, Amah and my aunt followed as they also ran anxiously behind him. Amah, told me that at that moment he felt some chest pain but later on it turned to relief.

Inah told me early afternoon yesterday that my nephew had intermittent fever and that she already gave him medicine.

Nonetheless, they still set an appointment at Ciudad Hospital with my nephew’s pediatrician supposedly today at 10:00 AM.

However, early hours last night, Uthman's temperature rose again so suddenly.

Thus, so concerned I got so busy last night calling them from Qatar as I was also keen to know the status of my nephew.

Late night, I called the hospital to talk with the assigned nurse who explained to me the health status of Uthman.

Moreover, upon learning what had happened to Uthman that night, his paternal grandparents, who reside at Patalon, immediately went to the hospital in the middle of the night riding only a motorbike.

Out of their love for their grandson Uthman, and just to see him that very moment, they didn’t mind the 33-kilometer distance and more than one hour travel time by motorbike even if it was already curfew time because of the ongoing GCQ.

Alhamdu Lillaahi, my nephew is already in good condition as of this writing. His pedia already saw him and said that if he would not anymore experience fever again, he will be discharged tomorrow.

My nephew Uthman is the first child of my youngest sister Radzna, who is currently in Manila for some crucial matter. Her husband who is a Radiologic Technologist by profession is assigned in Manila as a cop. They have entrusted their son to Inah, who is the one pampering his grandson.

No wonder Uthman turns to be an adorably coquettish yet very affectionate child with so much TLC from his doting grandparents!

Alhamdu Lillaahi, he is finally discharged from hospital today, June 28, 2020, Sunday. May Allaah keep you and all of us in the best of health and well-being AT ALL TIMES, aameen.

To the ZamPenHosp staff who took good care of my nephew, most especially to Anya Chang & Atchie Clariz, likewise to aunt Jarmin and Len, Inah, Amah, and Uthman’s paternal grandparents, a heartfelt thank you for all that you've done.

My highest gratitude and appreciation – I am so grateful for your support. Magnificent! Jazaakum Allaahu Khairan.

"NOT MERELY UZ, EVEN MALACAÑANG HAS NO POLICY PROHIBITING NIQAB"

By: Neocatalyst Late UZ President and CEO who succinctly declared that  “UZ HAS NO POLICY PROHIBITING NIQAB” Via email message dated May 27, 2010, Thursday in response to our lobby on Right to Education as well as Right to Freedom of Religion within the university, the late President and CEO of Universidad de Zamboanga Sir ARTURO "Ammar" EUSTAQUIO III , positively responded thru a succinct declaration that he has made:     “UZ HAS NO POLICY PROHIBITING NIQAB”.   Thus, it is both ironic and unreasonable that a certain niqaabi who was supposed to enroll at Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) WAS ALLOWED to take the entrance examinations thereat WITHOUT being asked to take off her niqaab; yet, when she passed said exams with highest scores, she was allegedly IMPEDED TO ENROLL by the Pharmacy Department just because she wears niqaab. The said incident transpired today 14 May 2012, Monday at UZ. “One of our sisters named Sitti Ridzka Muktader called me thr

THE UNFORGETTABLE YOUTH CAMP

THE UNFORGETTABLE YOUTH CAMP By MSA-UZ Member The youth camp is one of the most effective methods for the Islamic training of young potential leaders. Thus, as an official youth organization in our most beloved academe, we wish to contribute more to the welfare of the university in pursuit for peace and development even just in our humble capacity despite the hectic schedule as college students. We apprehended that in order to gain the aforementioned matters, we must first discipline ourselves along with our co-MSA-UZ fellows in an Islamic arena. Consequently, after a long patient and persistent preparation on the proposed plan for the mini Youth Camp, finally, the MSA-UZ held its 1st time ever youth camp with the THEME of “ISLAMIC BROTHERHOOD: HOW TO ATTAIN IT” at Puerto Villa Beach Resort, Patalon, Zamboanga City last April 10-11, 2009. The activity was peacefully opened by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by the former MSA-UZ President Alhusin Muhammad. It continu
